PickUp Patrol Says "Thanks" to School Secretaries Everywhere

It’s Been Quite a School Year

…and secretaries have been essential to getting us all through it.

The 2020-21 school year will definitely go down as one of the most challenging in history. Covid-19 has been hard on everyone. Virtual learning. Hybrid learning. Daily health screenings. Complete mid-year school shutdowns. All of these scheduling changes and new policies were not just hard on students, their families, and teachers—but they were also tremendously difficult for the school office.

Last summer, when there were so many uncertainties due to Covid-19 and schools were having to decide if, how, and when to reopen, our school secretaries were right at the front of the fray, ready to jump in and do whatever it took to implement the plans their schools and districts had put in place to keep their students and staff members safe.

School Secretaries—Always Essential

Here at PickUp Patrol, we have always been so impressed with school secretaries and the incredible lengths they go to to keep their schools running smoothly; and the great care and responsibility they assume to ensure that their students get where they need to be at the end of every school day.

But this year—this incredibly difficult year—we have watched our secretaries work humbly and tirelessly as they have adapted to the chaos that Covid-19 has wrought upon school systems in general, and school offices in particular. They have been even more essential than ever, keeping up with new restrictions and whiplash-inducing changes with a kind of fluid grace that we not only applaud, but admire.

Thank You

So here’s to you—the secretaries who use PickUp Patrol to help streamline your school’s dismissal process—and to the secretaries in every school office across America and beyond. Today is your day, and we add our voices to the principals, the teachers, the staff members, the parents, and the students who say, Thank you! Thanks for all you do every single day to make your schools the safe, organized, efficient, and warm environments that they are!

Happy Administrative Professionals Day from all of your friends here at PickUp Patrol!
